MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR
"For none of us lives to himself alone, and none of us dies to himself alone."
- Romans 14:7
Now
that the revival is over, my prayer is that we will indeed "Get the Most Out of Our Faith". A few weeks prior to the revival,my wife found this short commentary on
Romans 14:7 "To be a good evangelist . . ." by Dr. Winfred Moore.
Dr. Al Washburn typed it in 1987.
"Sometimes we take ourselves too seriously. Those who fail have never learned how
to get along with other people."
We need each other.
We cannot live in isolation.
We do not have (enough) problem solvers.
CHERISH FRIENDSHIP OF OTHER PEOPLE. Put warmth into that friendship.
RESPECT FEELINGS OF OTHER PEOPLE (even those who cannot agree with us).
We need to learn how to be tactful.
DON'T PROJECT YOUR FEELINGS
ON OTHERS.
WE DON'T HAVE TO BE ALWAYS MR. OR MRS. "RIGHT" ABOUT EVERYTHING.
LEARN HOW TO OVERLOOK FAULTS
IN OTHERS.
DEVELOP A GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR.
APPRECIATE OTHERS . . .
AND SEE THE BEST IN THEM.
BEAR ONE ANOTHER'S BURDENS.
LOVE ONE ANOTHER . . . AND BE KIND.
To me these ideas will go along way in helping us to live and walk in the faith. Let's be sure to read them, learn them,
and practice them. - In His Service, Ken
