Detailed Information
This is a detailed explanation of the maintenance and remodeling projects planned for our church.
Caulk and paint windows on the outside. To be done by a local contractor.
Scrape and paint fire escape. To be done by volunteers who would be willing to donate their timefor this project.
Repair and repoint defective masonry joints, recondition exterior stone where needed, and replace any faulty material. Clean exterior brick and stone walls of all elevations and apply water repellent to provide long-lasting protection.
Handicap Accommodations – Elevator and Bathroom
Install handicap elevator with entrance on the south side of the church. A covered ramp will lead from the sidewalk to the entrance. The elevator will accommodate the Fellowship Hall as well as the Sanctuary level of the church.
A handicap bathroom will be installed off the hallway beside the Sanctuary. This location is near the entrance of the elevator on the mail level.
New forced air furnace and air conditioning unit will be installed to replace the hot water boiler currently in use. A contractor will complete the installation of the new system, but the church will rely on volunteers to remove the existing boiler system and pipes.
We have blueprints from the architect on display in the Fellowship Hall and everyone is invited to stop by and see just what is being done. These changes will utilize unused areas in order to expand the seating capacity. Floors would be covered with ceramic.
Note: This does not include kitchen.
Exterior – Walls 77,000.00
Interior – Fellowship Hall and Handicap accommodations 170,000.00
Cash on hand $260,000.00
*Estimated amount needed for over-runs 50,000.00
*Please note that all projects such as this tend to run over budget; therefore, an additional $50,000.00 is needed in order to assure completion of these projects. If the additional funds are not needed for these projects, we will use them to remodel the kitchen area.
